Below are a selection of testimonials about the benefits of working with Primal Tao Movement from previous and current happy customers.
"Connie Lee, my instructor and personal trainer, has been instrumental in inspiring me to understand my body and provide tools me to keep up activities that I enjoy. After participating in the Shorewalker’s walk in New York City and completing the half way point of 16 miles or hiking on a mountain trail that overlooked the view of a valley in Hawaii, my immediate thought was to send a text message to Connie to thank her for being instrumental in enabling the experience. The personal sessions I have had in movement training has paid off to look forward in my retirement to be open to continue exploring life. Connie is meticulous in her instruction that her student understands the importance of personal safety and stressing proper alignment and usage of our exercises and daily movements.
"Connie is an instructor who has influenced me to look at the causes of pain or discomfort in my body as an opportunity to work out a plan. Her instructions are well thought out in including strength training with kettlebells, cardio, yoga, stretching for flexibility and with her knowledge in acupuncture, cupping and physiology. Connie is an instructor who is always challenging herself in her personal growth and passes on that enthusiasm and continues to share her knowledge with her students. After 7 years of training, I am amazed at each lesson, the effort she spends in creating a plan to address the areas of concern is fresh and challenging. Connie’s approach to movement training has influenced my outlook on how my lessons does not stop at a session or assignment. A long airplane ride, an afternoon puttering in the garden, are opportunities to apply all the information she has shared. Ultimately, Connie’s greatest gift is she is able to inspire me to pursue my own personal growth and strive to think in terms of getting stronger. I am very appreciative for having such a caring, dedicated, and skilled instructor. ”

“I suffered from a full ACL tear and partial meniscus tear during my time in collegiate athletics in the fall of 2022 with a traumatic reconstructive surgery the following January. After trying multiple physical therapy clinics I was able to gain more range of motion, but the pain NEVER went away. I thought that the pain was just a necessary part of the healing process, as nothing the therapists had me r reduce my pain during stretching or exercising. I was about to stop going to PT altogether and trying to figure something out myself when I met Connie, and my recovery journey began to change for the better. After learning how to roll out my muscles and began doing her given exercises, I was able to do things without pain. It was incredible and life changing! After about seven or eight Zoom calls following up on my recovery, Connie transformed how I exercise and how I view pain as well as writing up a personal workout plan for me to repeatedly work on after each session. I am now able to to exercise and run pain free, which is something I did not think I could do! I appreciate what Connie does as she really cares about and supports each of her patients and their journey to full recovery!"

“I met Connie in the kettlebell gym. I tried to get back to shape after a serious rock climbing injury. I fell 40 feet down below, smashed my heel bone and ended up getting a surgery to reconstruct the bone. After the surgery, my left foot had very limited range of motion, was in constant pain and stopped my favorite skiing for about a year!!! Skiing and hiking become very difficult. Even swinging kettlebell swing was not giving me the same thrill as skiing and rock climbing do. With Connie’s steady body work, I regained my normal range of motion to my left foot and now I can squat!!!! My ankle mobility returned in a couple of months. Now I am back to skiing and rock climbing again without any issue. Chronic pain, gone and range of motion is fully back. The best physical therapy I’ve got!"

“My
story started as a teenager diagnosed with epilepsy. I could not go
to college normally like all the other kids. I could not hold a
steady job because I could not drive, and I was on multiple drugs
for seizures and depression. I was always tired and had no energy or
drive in my life. My mother sent me to work with Connie. Within a few
months, Connie revamped my health, my diet and strength with
kettlebells, cupping, and diet guidance completely. My family could not
believe it when they picked me up from the airport! Two years
later, now I am pain free, do not feel chronically tired any more and
completely free from all the medications I took for 15 years and I am
strong thanks to Connie. She has completely changed my life. I am so
grateful!"

“I came to Connie a few years back with knee pain, stiffness, and fatigue caused by running and strength training. She not only relieved my pain, but taught me great habits for my form that I continue to use to this day. I’m glad to say that I can exercise pain free every day, and my overall lifestyle has improved thanks to Connie’s advice on diet and posture. Her patience and knowledge keep me coming back every time. "

“I had to quit my career as a defense lawyer years ago as I developed multiple sclerosis in my mid 40’s. My usual energy level was so low. I would have to be in bed 6 days out of a week. I met Connie in the yoga class and worked with her privately for the yoga therapy where she combined cupping, functional movement patterns and nutrition to guide me step by step on the journey. Six months later I started to have more energy and my nerves were calmer. I moved with no pain and I could do yoga and lift kettlebells. Now I can take long walks, play with my active young grandsons and take them on a trip. Now I would have just one day with low energy out of a week but now four and five days of being on my own, that was something I would not have expected. I consider myself a fairly high functioning MS survivor thanks to Connie. She brought back the quality of life to me!“

“I have been taking movement and weight training lesson from Connie as my personal trainer constantly for over six years and plan to continue these sessions. I am 73 years young and have recently incorporated into my health regimen both cupping and acupuncture treatments by Connie over the last year. Connie maintains a positive motivating environment that allows for exploration and continued growth. I appreciate that Connie has provided an opportunity for me to incorporate Eastern medicine along with Western medical practices and perspectives, including cupping and acupuncture. I have found that cupping, an ancient Eastern healing method, allows for the advantage of faster progress with fascia release and pain management. This avails my body to make faster change and expansion of movement range and is purported to increase blood flow. Acupuncture has been a tool that uses Eastern concepts of stimulating physical meridians with needle insertion as an adjuct to reducing pain as well as heal physical and emotional trauma. I have found the process of acupuncture to be relaxing and stimulating. I most often move into a state of complete relaxation and sense of well being after consistent sessions. I have great trust and appreciation for the level of skill and preparation Connie puts into her practice. I am continually awed by Connie’s suggestions and methods incorporated to affect my sense of progress and well being. Connie has clear and concise communication skills, frequently asking questions. I hold much respect, appreciation and gratitude for the skill and gifts provided to me from Connie’s high level professionalism.”

Neuropathy Pain Gone
“I had chronic right hip pain and neuropathy in my right toes. I went to the same PT for three years and have been told the same old thing why my muscles would not work yet my PT could not figure out how to help me. I only worked with Connie for a few weeks and started to see the results. Within a couple of months, my hip pain vanished, my neuropathy on the right foot was gone, and I become stronger when I work with kettlebells. I sleep better every night which was not something I expected even though I am only thirty years old. I am grateful for Connie’s help." Lucia K. |
Able to Move and Train Again
“Connie is a miracle worker. She is pivotal in my journey in healing and fitness. She helped me with my chronic hip pain and my mobility so I could participate in the weight loss and fitness programs at my kettlebell gym. I have lost tons of weight I have accumulated since I had my kids. I feel great and look great. I believe Connie’s cupping and acupuncture help me with my weight loss and health immensely." “Connie is a great healer. I met her when I was 79 years old and she brought me into the wonderful world of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Every week I was looking forward to her cupping and acupuncture. I fell asleep each time and felt so relaxed. I use a walker but with her cupping, I was able to walk more upright and eventually switched to a straight walker. My back pain was better and my energy level just was up. My friends were surprised by the amount of mobility I was gaining at my age. With so many surgeries (pacemaker, two terrible knee replacements, toe surgeries) done on me in the past decades. I thought that I was done for and there was not much I could do except walking with a walker with painful feet and taking a bunch of prescriptions. I now feel there is much hope at my age despite my condition. I am so grateful to have met Connie."

“I’ve been working with Connie for several years now. Through kettlebell strength-training, cupping, and recovery yoga sessions, I’ve been able to maintain my health at my desk job while still keeping an active lifestyle. Due to my work I often experience stiffness and pain in my neck and shoulders. With Connie’s guidance, I’ve found relief from constant pain and trust that I’ll be able to do what I love for many years to come!
"Connie uses both strength-training and more therapeutic methods like cupping to provide relief for my body. Weekly cupping sessions have left me feeling limber and relaxed, while her personalized kettlebell training sessions give me the energy to go about my day.
"With the stay-at-home order in place to help slow the spread of Covid-19, I realized that now more than ever I needed a great at-home workout routine. With Connie’s new online classes, I’ve been able to complete great instructional workouts via video call—all from the comfort of my own room! Whether it’s in person or over [video], Connie makes it easy to learn the routines with clear instructions and excellent demonstrations.
"Throughout my time working with her, it’s very clear to me that the client’s health and well-being is ALWAYS Connie’s first priority. Her dedication to helping others in all aspects of their physical health shows through every action. I’ll continue to work with her for as long as I can!"

“My
friend told me about Connie when I was running for University of
Oregon. When I got back to Washington to work on my master’s
degree, I felt my running was not getting anywhere and it was a
concern. I started to have more injuries and my hips were
extremely tight. I thought that it was normal for our running team
mates to have injuries but apparently I learned it was not the case.
Connie had worked on me and her cupping was amazing to make me
flexible again. She has helped me make a nice transition to
minimalist running by improving my running form. I learned so much more
from her than from my team coach."
